Hunter Safety Group has been appointed by a global financial services organisation to support them with audits across Europe, spanning multiple refurbishment and office upgrade projects.
Our role focuses on delivering construction safety advisory services across a diverse and dynamic portfolio. This includes conducting audits in line with local legislation and recognised industry best practice, supported by an audit template developed specifically to align with the legal requirements of each country and the client’s internal standards. We provide clear, high-level reporting to support informed decision-making.
Beyond compliance, we work closely with project teams and supporting multiple general contractors across the EMEA region to help develop and strengthen their processes and standards. Through ongoing engagement and practical support, we aim to raise safety performance and drive consistency across all stages of project delivery.
Our scope is built around the delivery of a structured quarterly audit programme, with each site visited once per quarter to provide an independent assessment of health and safety performance. These audits are designed not only to verify compliance with local legislation and statutory requirements, but also to benchmark site performance against the client’s internal standards and recognised industry best practice.
To ensure consistency across regions, we apply a bespoke audit framework developed specifically to reflect the legal and cultural nuances of each country while maintaining a unified reporting approach.
Each audit begins with a detailed site walk-through, where ongoing construction activities are observed in real time. This allows us to assess how effectively health and safety controls are being implemented on the ground, and whether works are being carried out in accordance with the project Health & Safety Plan. This is supported by a thorough review of project management systems and documentation, ensuring that contractor arrangements, legal duties, and statutory obligations are being appropriately managed and recorded.
A key part of our approach is the targeted sampling of critical safety documentation and evidence.
Through this process, we build a clear picture of both the robustness of systems in place and their practical application on site.
Particular focus is given to high-risk activities, where we assess whether appropriate control measures are defined, understood, and consistently applied. By comparing site practices against agreed RAMS and the overarching Health & Safety Plan, we are able to identify gaps between procedure and practice, and provide pragmatic recommendations to address them.
Beyond inspection and review, our role is inherently collaborative. During each visit, we engage directly with site management teams and contractors, providing immediate, practical feedback on observed issues and areas for improvement. This real-time advisory support helps to reinforce expectations, resolve concerns quickly, and promote a culture of proactive safety management across all projects.
Following each audit, we produced a clear and structured report outlining key findings, areas of non-compliance, and risk-based recommendations for corrective action. These reports are designed to provide senior management with concise, high-level insights, enabling informed decision-making and effective oversight across the wider project portfolio.
Through this combination of structured audits, consistent reporting, and ongoing engagement with project teams, Hunter Safety Group’s scope supports not only compliance assurance but also the continuous improvement of health and safety standards across all locations and stages of project delivery.
