Silver Award Covenant Recognition Scheme

Hunter Safety Group Achieves Silver Award Under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme.

Hunter Safety Group is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Silver Award as part of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

This achievement builds on our previous Bronze Award recognition and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists, service leavers, cadet force adult volunteers, and military families.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated fairly and with respect within the communities, economy, and society they serve.

By signing the Covenant, organisations commit to ensuring that members of the Armed Forces community are not disadvantaged as a result of their service and, where appropriate, are given special consideration in certain circumstances.

Thousands of businesses, charities, educational institutions, and public sector organisations across the UK have signed the Covenant, demonstrating their support for those who have dedicated themselves to serving the country.

What is the Employer Recognition Scheme?

The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) recognises employers that go above and beyond in their support for Defence and the Armed Forces community.

The scheme is made up of three levels of recognition:

Bronze Award

The Bronze Award is granted to organisations that have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and demonstrated a commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

Silver Award

The Silver Award recognises employers who actively demonstrate support through their policies and practices. Organisations must show that they employ and support members of the Armed Forces community, communicate their commitment publicly, and provide flexibility to reservists and other members of the Armed Forces community.

Gold Award

The Gold Award is the highest level of recognition and is awarded to organisations that demonstrate outstanding and sustained support for Defence and actively advocate for the Armed Forces community within their sector and beyond.

Why This Matters to Hunter Safety Group

At Hunter Safety Group, we recognise the exceptional qualities that Armed Forces personnel bring to the workplace. Skills such as leadership, discipline, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, and a strong commitment to safety align closely with our own company values.

We are particularly proud that many members of our workforce are former Armed Forces personnel whose experience and professionalism continue to make a significant contribution to our business and the clients we serve.

Achieving the Silver Award reflects the steps we have taken to create an inclusive and supportive environment for veterans, reservists, and military families. It also reinforces our commitment to ensuring that those connected to the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and provided with opportunities to succeed.

Looking Ahead

Receiving the Silver Award is an important milestone, but it is not the end of our journey. Hunter Safety Group remains committed to strengthening our support for the Armed Forces community and continuing to build on the values that this recognition represents.

We would like to thank all serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and military families for their dedication and sacrifice. We are honoured to play our part in supporting the Armed Forces community and are proud to hold Silver Award status under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme.
